Plates with Purpose | Fundraising dinner benefitting World Central Kitchen

Earlier this month, communities in Los Angeles faced the unimaginable. High winds fueled devastating wildfires that swept through the Greater Los Angeles area, leaving many residents without homes, cherished memories, a sense of normalcy, and more.

In times like these, the strength of our community shines brightest. As members of the hospitality industry, our approach to moving through the world has always been deeply rooted in the nobility of service and our commitment to answering the call when those in need require help the most.

To support those affected by the LA wildfires and help rebuild what was lost, The Shipwright’s Daughter is hosting our “Plates with Purpose” relief dinner on January 30th with all proceeds from that night’s dinner service going to World Central Kitchen to aid in the relief efforts for the victims of the LA wildfires.

World Central Kitchen is a nonprofit organization that rushes to the frontlines to provide fresh meals in response to crises. By applying their model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real-time, WCK has served more than 450 million nourishing meals around the world.
